8 Years later and STILL WAITING
It is another year and again I repeat the same story as to date my matter is still not resolved. 8 years later.
If I hadn’t gone in personally to see them about 3 weeks ago, I would not have understood what was still outstanding. This is due to the lack of communication.
I have been waiting 8 years to get a Clearance Certificate. To date I have sent in all the required documentation, the last of which I had to pursue on my own given the lack of feedback. I have now sent in my final document and still await to hear from them.
I am not prepared to wait another day or 21 days for this process to be finalised as I think it’s pathetic that one has to hound them for feedback.
Thank you Indiphile Jula for your patience and trying your best to expedite this matter. I trust this will be finalised today since I have now again been waiting on finalisation since about 5 December 2023.

29 Jan 2024, 15:13And true to form, I receive a call a few minutes ago telling me there are still 4 letters outstanding!!!!!!
This after being assured, face to face and on email, that the document I submitted on Saturday was the only outstanding document.
They have no idea what they are doing and the communication between departments is non existent. They don’t care what it does to your spirit. It seems they enjoy breaking you down.
My advice to anyone, don’t go to Debt Busters for Debt Consolidation because they are not there to help you but to drag you down further, humiliate you and prolong the bondage they put upon you . They have no understanding of what it truly feels like to be in my shoes. To have to wait for 8 Years for a Clearance Certificate and to be given a different story year on year for 8 years.
I will never recommend your services to anyone because I cannot bear seeing someone else having to go through what I am going through.
So I guess we continue until they are on the same page or someone else with the power and authority comes to relieve me from this burden.
I’ve lost all faith in you.

Frustrated does not begin to explain how I feel right now! Again today I am being asked for documents I have submitted numerous times and needless to say not the documents I was told by Lauren that was outstanding. To my knowledge every bit of outstanding information has been sent yet you still find a way to tell me that documents are outstanding.
How do you serve the public of this country in this way? How do you even get awards for this pathetic service that you render??
Where is Lauren who is meant to be handling my case and escalating it? Why am I dealing with *********** staff?? Today again marks 8 years and 2.5 months in my fight to obtain a clearance certificate. I provide the information requested but the goal posts keeps shifting.
I have no alternative now but to lay a complaint at the ambudsman for the unfair treatment I have received for the past 8 years from a supposedly highly recommended company.
FNB, Standard Bank, RCS, all reputable financial institutions assisted me in less than 24 hours, but debt busters has taken 8 years and 2.5 months to conclude my matter.
I refuse to be treated this way any longer. And as mentioned before will not recommend your services to anyone.
There are not enough adjectives to adequately describe how I feel at the moment. You are playing with my future and my ability to provide for my daughter as a single parent. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I pray that no one else has to experience what I have at your hands.

After my review yesterday I received a letter stating that I should be removed from debt review since I am no longer over-indebted.
I have no idea how to proceed from here but am relieved to have some form of correspondence stating that I am not under debt review.
I will have to send an email requesting information on how to proceed from here.

After my review yesterday I received a letter stating that I should be removed from debt review since I am no longer over-indebted.
