Unwilling/Incapable of assisting.
I have been with Debt therapy since early 2015, a few months after joining I was retrenched then a few months after that I was Divorced.
Needless to say my / our ability to maintain payments was severely affected, even after numerous attempts to inform them of our/my situation.
I can honestly say that this company has provided no assistance, they have no procedure or process in place to help in the event that your circumstances change. If fact Im sure I am worse off for using this company.
You should really do look at another company to assist you with your Debt Reconciliation .
Please note that a court order is in place with your debt review. As stated prior we cannot simply change a court order. We have spoken to all your creditors asking them to give you a break. However, as a result of your payment history they turned your request down. If you don't pay the agreed lower installment no one can help you.
You where unemployed we sent mails to your creditors and continued working on your account without charging you as a result of your circumstances.
Short of paying your debt there was nothing more we could do.
I will happily publish all the work done should you so wish.

- You opted not to have insurance to cover yourself.
- A Court order was in place (This matter has to be taking back to the magistrate courts to change your circumstances). You did not wish to pay for this.
- We tried contacting your creditors asking them for assistance. (They will only help if they have a court order stating that they must).
- Accounts where in both your names and as such regardless if you get divorced or not your creditors will hold both of you liable even if your divorce decree states otherwise.
- You cant hold Debt Therapy responsible for matters outside of our control.
- All this information was given to you and we did all we could our end to help.
