Unbelievable

I was on my way home driving on the inside lane. My indicator was on.....Suddenly a motorbike passes on the left side of my car right through the police parking on my left next to the road. I heard a scratching noise on my car and as i watched i saw the bike drive past a parked car and me and lost balance, next thing the motorbike just turned in front of me towards the direction i was going. I realised that my business vechile had been scratched so i followed the motorbike and tried to stop the driver but the driver just ignored me and drove faster.

Note that these motorbikes have boxes on the back they use for placing pizzas in to do deliveries.

I did not file a complaint with SAPS because i thought i will just give Debonairs a call and let them know of the driver that hit me. I was very relaxed about it until i saw the big scrathes on my Signs. I did take the REG of the motorbike and time of the incident in order to help them know who the driver was.

So i called Debonairs in Glenfair and explained the whole story. I did let them know that i got home late and that i will not file a complaint but would like to come and see them in the folowing week. The manager agreed.

Long story short......I did go to see the manager and he took a bike to examine the scratches that i thought was from the bike. It did not match up but there were other scratches underneath that matched up and he kept pointing to scratches that i pointed to at first and said its not the bike.

I did explain to him that the bike scratched my car. And as i checked there were a few scratches i did not see before. he kept going on that the bike did not scratch my car. So in other words i am lying according to how he treats the situation.

So i got annoyed with the way he handled the situation and said that he had to stop talking about that ****y scratch mark which i could have handled better , but this was after he kept repeating himself after plus minus the tenth time and not answering my question . He took offence and sweared at me.

My question was if he would get hold of the driver and do something about it or at least let me just talk to the driver. My whole approach from beginning was to help that it wont happen to someone else.

He then started throwing his finger in my face saying i will not talk to him like that and i tried to explaining that he must just understand if the scratch was this or that one , i was hit !!! So i wasnt bothered about which scratch it was or about claims for the money . If i had a driver for my company and they hit someone else, they could at least stop and deal with it and also be honest and tell the owner about it.

In this case i got nowhere with it and decided to post it. I dont feel they delt with it in the right manner.

The thing that really made me mad was one of the drivers that came out on their way to a delivery and overheard my conversation with the manager said the following : He is nuts

I am nuts for being hit and reporting it!!!

I rest my case.......
