I am was dining at Debonairs Pizza in QwaQwa and I am shocked at what I’m experiencing. Delivery scooters are being allowed to drive inside the restaurant — while customers, including families with small children, are seated and eating.

This is not just unacceptable — it is dangerous, unsanitary, and deeply irresponsible.

We are here with a 3-year-old child, and the fact that scooters are zipping through the same space where she is playing and eating is absolutely horrifying. One wrong move and she — or any of the other minors in the restaurant — could be seriously injured. This is a disaster waiting to happen.

Let’s be clear: • Scooters are vehicles, not restaurant furniture. • They bring in oil, dust, and dirt from the street — directly into the food preparation and dining area. • They pose a clear safety hazard to customers and staff alike. • The noise, fumes, and risk of injury create a completely unacceptable environment for eating.

Where is management? Where is the basic concern for customer safety and health regulations? This situation reflects a complete breakdown in standards, and it makes me question how Debonairs is allowed to operate under these conditions.
