Poor service and attitude from staff at Debonairs Dainfern Square

On Sunday, 15 December 2019, at 10:43, I placed an online order, #***7, for collection and in-store payment at Debonairs Pizza Dainfern Square at 13:00 on the same day. As I work in the same shopping centre and only have a 30 minute lunch break, that was the reason for the online order. When I arrived, the pizza wasn't ready, as the lady making the pizzas forgot to make it. I spoke to Mike, apparently he is the manager, only saying he apologize. He offered to have the pizza delivered to the store where I work, but that is going to take up more of my 30 minute lunch break. I insisted to wait. The the lady who forgot to make the pizza, just threw it onto the rollers.

I then ask Mike for the area manager or owner's phone number, telling me he is not allowed to. He then wanted to take my number, but judging by the look on his face, my number would not have reached the intended area manager/owner. I then asked if he could phone the area manger/owner from the store then, again insisting that I should leave my number, as the phone is apparently in the cash office. I the mentioned to Mike that I will lodge a complaint, but he ignored me on it.

I then asked Mike what he is going to to about the fact that they did not have it ready, he first offered me a cold drink, to which I declined, as I already had a soft drink to enjoy with my lunch. Then another lady assisted in the front to help process the payment. Mike then offered me the opportunity to select a free drink again. He pointed to the fridge and said I may select any drink from the fridge. I asked him if he is sure any drink. He rep**** yes. I the selected a 200ml can of Appletizer, to which Mike declined and said only a buddy bottle. I then questioned him again why did he say anything, and when I made my choice and selection he declined. He mentioned that the 200ml can of Appletizer cost R24.90 and the buddy bottles is cheaper. I did then chose a 200ml Fanta Orange.

My concern is that I placed my order way in advance to save time on my 30 minute lunch break, and the attitude towards me and the situation. Needless to say, 10 minutes of my time was wasted by the ignorance of the staff to this order. I do order from this branch on a regular basis, but then it is on my 1 hour lunch break where I have more time and the pizza normally takes 15 minutes to prepare.

After the attitude I received, I doubt if I would support them again, as there is another pizza place in the same building, but they do not cater to my taste as what Debonairs Pizza does.
