Paying for a Whole order that was never given to me
I waited at the counter behind someone placing an order. Once they finished, the person taking their order left, so I couldn’t place mine. After waiting for a while, I asked the kitchen staff if I could place an order. They pointed me to the touchscreen order point. I went there, placed my order, and paid. However, after payment, the machine got stuck on a processing screen even though the money was deducted from my bank card.
I went back to the counter and explained what happened, showing proof that the payment had been deducted from my account. I spoke to Jodien and asked her to make my pizza. Instead, she told me my bank was lying and that the funds were never deducted. I showed her the transaction history log in my banking app and pointed out the debonairs one, but she still insisted my bank was lying and refused to make my pizza.
I suggested a solution: she could make the pizza, and if the payment got refunded to my account later, I would immediately transfer the money to Debonairs and provide my order number as a reference. I even offered my ID, address, and phone number as additional proof, but she still refused.
This was extremely unprofessional and wasted a lot of my time. I had already paid for the pizza and was still denied my order. I now want a free pizza specifically the one I originally ordered. This situation wasn’t my fault, and the handling of it was unacceptable.
