Making excuses

So I shared my experience 2weeks ago about how I was charged a 12 rand delivery fee every time I ordered pizza from Debonairs Umgeni and was not charged when I ordered from my neighbours address..

So I got a call the very same evening from the area manager vusi who was very interested in investigating my complaint. I gave him all the details and even offered to prove my case with slips. He asked for time to find out what had happened and why.

So he got back to me two days later saying that their delivery system works on a 5km driving distance polygon that delivers pizza for free and anything thereafter needed to be charged a fee since July 2016. He also mentioned that it was manually updated by the cashiers. He went on to say that my neighbours house is a 5.2 driving distance & mine is a 5.3km driving distance so I was charged a fee. I reported that it was unfair and I am unhappy because even though u enquired on previous occasions as to why my neighbour is not charged the fee was still not added!

Thereafter the store owner Mr Mohammed called me to explain, to whom I explained the very same. I requested a compensation for all the times I was charged a delivery fee because I explained that it was improper. He went on negotiating. I allowed him to finish and told him that its not my fault if their system is not up to date. At the end of the day I am a customer who was treated unfairly by that store and that I want nothing but to be compensated. HE HUNG UP WHILST I WAS SPEAKING & Never got back to me ..

I am very displeased because i am a frequent customer to debonairs.
