I paid twice for an order but can't get refund

On Thursday 3rd December I went to Debonairs in Walmer 6th Avenue to buy pizza. When I got there I placed an order and it cost me R177.70. I paid for the transaction using my debt card and I got a receipt. As I waited for my order the cashier informed me that the transaction didn't go through as my card declined and he showed me the print out stating so. I accepted that and paid cash.<br> On Tuesday 8th December, the transaction went through on my bank account. There was a payment made to Debonairs of R177.70. <br> I immediately went to Debonairs to inform the cashier of this and to my luck It was the same guy who I dealt with on Tuesday so he immediately remembered me. <br> After 5 days of going to Debonairs in Walmer I was told that Debonairs can not refund my money as they have to look at their bank statement first and that was the end. I haven't received my refund and I don't think I'll get it.
