Food poisoning

I bought a double up special Monday night. It was for my family of three and me. When the pizza arrived my mother opened it and firstly said it smells off. We laughed and said we hungry let's eat as that was my only meal for the day because i was busy at work. I went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night feeling nausea it was so bad i got up and started vomiting. The next morning i was sick. Went to the pharmacy later that day and the nurse told me i have food poisoning. Is this items not fresh???? I will never buy at debonairs Strand again.
