Disgraceful service from Debonairs Pizza Fourways Mall
DEBONAIRS FOURWAYS MALL. Last night 07/08/2020, we ordered a vegetarian pizza double stacked. The store doesn't do deliveries. So my husband picked it up and came home. As we started to eat. We found pieces of Cut plastic or glass in pizza. We were not prepared to take this seriously, as we understand everyone makes mistakes. We politely called to ask if we can return our pizza. As there were pieces of plastic/glass in it. The store manager advised yes you can we will have a new one prepared. We politely asked if they could deliver it as this was unfortunately not our mistake and due to all inconvenience caused this courtesy should have been offered. They how ever said no we don't do deliveries at all we need to come exchange pizza. Fine fair enough we live near by and went through to exchange pizza. My Husband got there showed teller pizza he called his manager (Peter) who then came out and make a very sarcastic ****y comment to my husband that had a Racial meaning to it. He tells my husband "This can't be possible. This couldn't have happened here" my husband then asked are you implying that I placed such for a new pizza. As an Indian they made it seem like we cannot afford to pay for food and that we only want free food. Furthermore his service was pathetic and I most certainly felt disrespected and insulted upon my experience.
Nevertheless my husband took home second pizza, and we were so unhappy we didn't eat it as our appetite was not there. My husband told me how he felt and explained to me what had happened when he collected second pizza. It was during this time manager called to ask if pizza was fine. But he had a very smirkish tone in his voice. I then took the call and told him how I very well felt.
Today 08/08/2020 I warmed up a slice of new Second pizza to have for breakfast and guess what yet again pieces of glass/plastic found again.
So now I am most certainly contacting the health inspector to check what is going on with the quality of service rendered from Debonairs Fourways mall. And mind you I will most certainly post this incident on all social media platforms.
So that others can be aware and not support such business with poor and unhygienic standards. Just imagine if this was eaten by a young child. What would be the outcome? And who would be liable??
Justice must prevail.
