Debonairs (Bluff Branch) - poor service
Since load shedding had hit we thought the simple convenient thing to do was order a pizza. We did just that. The lady taking our order said it will take 45 minutes. We were desperate so we thought that would be fine. The 45 minutes came and went with no pizza yet delivered. After an hour we get a call to say the driver was on the way but he has the wrong pizzas. We musn't take those we must send him back with the same pizzas. My husband still asked if they could send another driver with the correct pizza in the meantime but I don't think that was heard. After waiting now close to 2 hours (lights were back on at this time) a driver arrives and when he takes out the pizzas both dots on the boxes are black... Pizza is cold!!!! I check the box and it says if the dot is black the pizza is free!!! Now to claim this 'FREE PIZZA' we call Debonairs (Bluff Branch). After listening to a machine a lady then said she'll transfer me to the manager. Eventually I was put through to an extension that didn't even exist and eventually the call was cut after quite a long time holding (wasting my airtime). My husband then gave it a try and the lady he spoke to,who did not give him any undivided attention (because while he was speaking she was speaking to someone else so clearly not listening to the story properly) told him "The Pizza can be free, the driver will have to pay for it". Now what kind of policy is that???? The driver must pay and we must sit with the guilt that this man must now pay for the pizzas??? We payed half for the FREEZING DRY pizzas but I don't think that was acceptable at all. If you can't stick to your policy rather take it off the box because it's not true at all. I'd love to hear back from the manager or someone who can shed more light on this becuase I feel it's just wrong!!! Thanks Debonairs Bluff Branch, the slogan says "Try something Amazing" but I think that should come off as well. Thanks.
