Watch what you sign, the pressure to close a sale is intense with DC Experts

Really not impressed, the amount of pressure I was put under to agree to their terms, and the non stop calls that happened in 1 day, they have me a figure of R7500 that I must pay each month for debt review, without knowing what my financial status is, and I asked more than once, how long am I expected to pay this R7500.00 no one could tell me. When I flagged with Charne, a few days later, that I wasn't comfortable with the amount, as it would essentially leave me 100% broke at the end of the month, the comms almost stopped, I asked for an option to surrender and for 3 days I was told the counsellor would advise, I eventually told them to forget it, and that I was cancelling the R7500 debit order. My impression and feeling is, that there is huge emphasis for them to close sales and make targets, and you as the consumer - your needs are not at all considered. I didn't even ask for Debt Review, I got a call. Really not impressed.

Quite disappointed within minutes of this complaint on Hello Peter, I got a flurry of calls from DC Experts, claiming that the delay on coming back to me, was due to waiting on the debt counsellor, and within 24 hours I received numerous calls, despite me telling them I couldn't afford R7500, they suggested R6000, which I still can't afford, as all the supporting documents was supp**** to them, the only suggestion they could come up with was to pay R6k a month, no other options. What really got to me, was the fact that when I stated that my time had been wasted, I was asked to remove my complaint off HelloPeter, as they felt that a few phone calls, and no solution, is effort on their part. #brandfail.

Dear Kim K

Thank you for bringing your concerns under our attention.

We are really sorry to hear about your tough situation and we strive to assist each consumer that comes our way, but as a registered debt counselor we need to also stay within the guidelines and perimeters set out for us by the National Credit Regulator.  It would be extremely irresponsible of us to send a proposal to the banks that we know will not be acceptable and place you in a worse position over time.

We trust you find the above in order.

Kind Regards
The DC Experts Team
