DC Expects ruined my life.
Year ago we were approached by consultant from DC and expects with a proposal is assisting us with option to deal with out debt, but did not give us full information and they rushed is into signing documents not even giving us time to read thru. So we did. After a day when I got a chance to read what they sent I contacted them to tell them we want cancel because they did not give us enough information and they did not even explain most of the things. They kept on giving us a run around and a lady that answered the call after calling for over two days was very rude and did have any manners. I posted here on hello Peter they responded to say they are checking and they never came back.

After an in depth investigation into your complaint we have come to the following findings, both you and your spouse has signed a valid form 16 in October 2017 which has given us the permission to proceed and process your debt review application in terms of section 86 in terms of the National Credit Act 34 of 2005. On receipt on the signed form 16 the Debt Counselor can proceed to inform all credit providers and registered credit bureaus of your application.
Our offices has not taken any funds from you or your spouse and the debt counselor only tried to explain that once an application has been accepted and the consumer wishes to withdraw we are unable to remove the flag until all debt has been settled on your profile and we can issue a clearance certificate.
A Consumer who has app**** for Debt Review can withdraw from Debt Review only before the declaration of over-indebtedness (Form17.2) has been issued by the Debt Counsellor. The declaration of over-indebtedness has already been issued on your application and was done in terms of the prescribed time lines set out by the National Credit Regulator.
Please feel free to email *** if you've settled any of the accounts you've had back in 2017 and if so our offices can issue a clearance certificate at no cost and ensure the debt review flag is taken off your name.
Kind Regards.

12 Nov 2020, 16:25Good afternoon. If that was explained to me when I asked about your processes, we would have never signed the papers. the only things that your councilors explained was how they can help us and wanted papers signed SAP, didn't even give us enough time to read thru. my email to cancel was sent with in 4 days after signing and what i know is that the cool off period is 5 business day according to the consumer rights. We did get a call about the deduction that is going to be made and black listing treat from your counselors.

13 Nov 2020, 15:43You are supposed to be helping people not getting them into more financial problems and binding them into unfair contracts, just because you can make money of them. I would infact start advocating that people not to use your services.
