Past service deilivery record does not reflect current at all! Stay away from them!
Basically the same complaint as every other one here in the last 12 months. Used them in the past great service. Needed them recently for my dishwasher, he happened to be in the area the day I contacted them, came over immediatley, fixed the dishwasher and asked him to take a look at the washing machine while he was here, he told me what was needed and that I must pay him for the parts and he will get them and return the following day. Stupidly I did since I trusted him. Sadly 3 weeks has passed, my WA messages are ignored and my phone calls are not picked up. I cannot reccomend this company at all!!! Stay clear away from them.

Don't use DanFix
Past behaviour does not dictate future behaviour it seems. This time around called on Dan to fix my fridge and the workmanship, professionalism and communication is down the toilet. 2nd opinion has confirmed no new parts installed as charged for. Unnecessary work was carried out. Trust BROKEN

Don't use DanFix

Poor service, No invoice
Dan Appliances came out because two plates on my stove were giving problems. The technician did no diagnosis and simply replaced both plates, despite me repeatedly asking how he knew they were faulty. There was no testing equipment. The plates were replaced, but the problem remained. I was then told it must be the switches. Long story short, the stove is now fixed, but the seal around the stove was damaged during the repairs and needs replacing. I’ve contacted Dan about this, but he doesn’t answer my calls or respond to my messages. They need to come back and finish the job properly. I’m also still waiting for the invoice I was promised.

Poor service, No invoice
Dan Appliances came out because two plates on my stove were giving problems. Warning: Unreturned Deposits and Ghosting - Dan Fix Appliances
Just a warning to the community regarding Dan Fix Appliances. We have used Dan for years and regularly referred him, but unfortunately, we can no longer recommend his services. We recently paid a R900 deposit via E Wallet for a coffee machine repair. The machine was returned to us unfixed by another technician, with the advice that we should just buy a new one. When we requested our deposit back for the uncompleted work, Dan promised over the phone that he would process the refund. Since then, he has completely ghosted us, reading WhatsApp messages and ignoring calls for over a week. It is incredibly disappointing to see a trusted local service provider treat loyal customers this way. Please be very cautious before paying him any upfront deposits.

DANFIX APPLIANCES IN JOHANNESBURG - AVOID AVOID AVOID
Avoid Danfix at all costs. DAN THE OWNER IS VERY DISHONEST!!!! The owner Dan cam to my house to fix my washing machine. He did whatever he did and claimed that it was fixed. Insisted that I pay immediately, which I did. That very afternoon when my wife got home with our kids and needed to do a load of washing after school , the washing machine did not work. I got hold of Dan and he sent two of his employees back the next day. They opened up the washing machine and then tripped the whole house, even to my non-trained technical eye I could see that they had blown (short circuited) the whole machine. I could see that suddenly got a fright as if they had no idea what they were doing. They said that Dan would have to come the next day. Now all this time being wasted and back and forth to work and home to try and meet him. He comes the next day, with some part( I am sure he was just guessing). He had no clue what was wrong. Then left again claiming that he fixed it this time. Again the machine just did'nt work. I eventually got hold of him on the phone, he just does'nt answer hoping that dissatisfied customers will give up.I eventually bought a new washing machine because he FAILED on every level. He "Promised "to give me a full refund. I sent him my banking details two weeks ago and just nothing, radio silence. I have got hold of him 4 times and every time he comes with a story and promises to pay the refund. He is just a ****. In business you don't offer to refund and promise to do so and then just don't. He got my money for doing absolutely nothing.PLEASE AVOID THIS GUY TOTALLY!!!!! HE WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY.He knows about all the bad reviews online about him and they don't seem to bother him,very strange. I WISH THAT I COULD GIVE A -10 RATING BECAUSE THAT IS ALL THAT HE DESERVES. YOU PAY GOOD MONEY IN GOOD FAITH AND YOU JUST GET **********.VERY NICE DAN - I HOPE YOU ARE PROUD OF YOURSELF.

Avoid DANFix: Dishonesty
Absolutely avoid Danfix at all costs. This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. He came recommended by the Waterfall Estate Group, which makes it even more disappointing, as that referral clearly carries no credibility. He took payment upfront for a Siemens GSD hob repair and then failed on every level. He was completely unreliable, repeatedly dishonest about his progress, and consistently gave misleading updates. The problem was never resolved, and there was zero accountability. We paid him and he has simply disappeared with our money. This is not just poor service—it’s outright unprofessional and deceptive conduct. I would strongly caution anyone against using him.

Extremely disappointed with service. We have spent over R3,000 with Danfix Appliances since last year trying to fix our washing machine. Despite multiple visits and payments, the machine is STILL not fixed, and the issues were only discovered after the technician left each time. This is unacceptable service and not what any paying customer should expect. Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), services should be performed with reasonable care and skill — and that simply hasn’t happened here. Not recommended unless real, lasting service is provided.
