YOUNG PEOPLE BEWARE DAMELIN WILL ***** YOUR DREAMS AND REFUSE TO REFUND 100% WHEN THEY CANNOT PRODUCE ANY ASSIGN AND EXAM RESULTS

My daughter enrolled with Damelin in January 2017 to study HR and earn her diploma in 2 years. She paid R15,500 upfront for her 3 year Diploma. Damelin promised she could write her first exam in June 2017; however the text books were unavailable and after repeatedly calling and emailing Damelin she was informed they could not help her. When she brought this to my attention in April 2017, I also tried calling and emailing with no success. I then went to Randburg Damelin and spoke to the Manager who emailed the Correspondence College in JHB Central. I was then contacted and the text books were sent to my daughter. But it was too late, she was not allowed to write the June exams in 2017.

She wrote tests, then internal exams, submitted her assignments and had a fiasco at the exam centres. She was sent to centres that were not equipped or claimed that they had not received the exam from Damelin. After re-scheduling she was directed to other colleges even though I called and made a special request for her to write at the Damelin in Randburg. Sadly, Damelin refused and she was directed to other colleges - not Damelin.

In February 2018, my daughter contacted Damelin for her results. She received feedback that they did not have her results and she could not start with her 2nd year until she received her results. There were no results for any of her assignments or tests or internal exams (which she was forced to write even though the results would not contribute to any of her finals and no results of the exam. She contacted Damelin repeatedly with the same result - no results. She then requested Damelin refund her 3 year fee so that she could enrol elsewhere and complete her studies. Damelin then advised her that THEY WOULD DEDUCT 41% OFF her fee even though the fault lay at Damelin and they still have not given her any of the results. Becoming desperate and not wanting to miss the June exam again this year, she requested I help. I started emailing Shane Shaw in March 2018. He promised to investigate and give feedback. There is still no feedback even though I have emailed repeatedly. Yesterday I advised him that we can no longer wait for feedback and would like a FULL REFUND. Damelin has no results for her first year and she is going to miss the June exam again. Basically Damelin will have wasted 18 months of her life when she could have been half way through her studies. In my opinion Damelin should add 41% to R15,500. WE are extremely disgusted with Damelin. DO NOT enrol at Damelin. The level of incompetence and lack of integrity is astounding for a higher education institution.
