Wait what...still no feedback

I've app**** for a course through Damelin in October 2016, money paid etc etc. I received my documents and student number. In January 2017 they stole my USB with my books on it, I have requested assistance from Damelin but now we are in September almost a year ago and I still haven't received any assistance. SO what did I pay for? Money for free, since I couldn't wright any exams or anything? I've requested a refund but there was also no guarantee that I will get it back. What do I do? Just admit that I have paid more than R10 000 for something I never received???
