Utter bad service from Finance department
This is just to share my utter dissatisfaction and disappointment in the utter bad customer service received from Damelin Correspondence College by my wife.
My wife enrolled with the college in 2017 for a National N Diploma in Financial Management and in 2018 as a result of work circumstances at the time she app**** for a cancellation of studies, which was then granted and the studies stopped. We are in the process of buying a property and this is now three years on since the cancellation but this account still reflects against my wife's name as open and a possible arrears / outstanding amount on her Experian ITC report.
For the past 7 months my wife has struggled to get anywhere with regards to querying this. She filled out an inquiry on Damelin Correspondence College's website in January and was called back. She was given an email address to contact in this regard. The lady, although trying her best to help, weren't able to as this fell outside her geographical area and she gave us another gentleman's email address. This gentleman seemed helpful initially but also after 3 months or so told her that he will escalate this query to his General Manager. This was in November 2020 when she initially contacted him and in February we still weren't anywhere close to a resolution and thus he promised to escalate to his GM.
My wife decided to wait for the GM to contact her but that never happened and now in June 2021, when pulling another ITC report, nothing has changed. My wife contacted the gentleman again and he referred this to another lady, who only responded after she again followed up, but only to refer this onto another lady. So 7 months of back and forth, being referred to 4 people and still no closer to a resolution. My wife called the DCC Call Centre yesterday, 2 June 2021 and the lady there was very helpful saying she doesn't seem to see any arrears / balances outstanding but obviously she is not in Finance and the people whom we are in contact with via email will have to provide us with confirmation.
All we needed to know was is the account closed, is there any outstanding / arrears amount and if not, as per the Call Centre lady, can we have a letter of confirmation of the account being closed / paid up.
