Stay as far as way from Damelin as you can

Unfortunately I can’t give a no stars review. Last year I decided to upgrade my matric maths and decided to do it through Damelin - terrible idea. Initially the process was smooth when I came to getting paper working and registering. It all started going down hill very quickly. The person I spoke to initially ignored my emails and when I called none of my calls went through.

It took 2 weeks for me to get access the mathematics class work. If there ever was a problem and I tried to email I’d be ignored. When they misplaced my tests it was made my fault. Most attempts of communication were ignored. When they hadn’t sent my private invigilator the tests I called and the person who answered said they couldn’t assist me and would transfer me to another department and then put the phone down.

Instead of going to the invigilator with issues that had to do with assignments and tests they would come to me to sort it out and if I asked any questions about what they’d just told me I was told that they are not allowed to share communications between the private invigilator and the college.

My term marks also just randomly change which makes no sense and leaves room for a lot of confusion.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to do anything through Damelin. Communication is great until they get your money, from there expect to be ignored. Also expect to be running around sorting out issues that have nothing to do with you and that are ultimately out of your control.
