Please do not make pay for services that I did not use

I was interested in enrolling for a online course, on the 23 November a consultant called me and told me that they would run a credit check on me and email me the feedback but they didn't and nothing was communicated with me, on the 9th December I receive an SMS that I will have a debit order from Damelin in December, Why am I paying for services that I have not use?
