PATHETIC SERVICE FROM DAMELIN CORRESPONDENCE
I was registered on 19 February and on 6 March my employer paid Damelin in full for my course. To date I have received 33 of 87 study units. My ordeal started in September 2014 when a student adviser informed me that the course I was interested in was not subject to examinations, just to find after registration, it was. In Damelin's favour they have wavered the exam fees, and extended the course period by 6 months, but I don't think I will ever get to the stage where I can write exams.
I have tried to speak to the College Principal, Ajanth Choudhree who has never returned a call. When I insist to hold to speak to him, the receptionist puts me on hold for a few minutes then terminates the call. I have been corresponding with Tyrone Booysen from 26 March and receive the same empty promise that an urgent request was sent to the relevant Department e-mail after e-mail.
I am now going to attempt to be refunded. Based on my experience to date, I can only imagine how difficult it would be to purchase past papers, have assignments marked and register for exams. I hope prospective students read this complaint and the many others and will think twice before enrolling with Damelin!
