NON-SERVICE AND *****ING FROM DAMELIN

STUDENT NUMBER: 440898 I have been working for over 10 years in the law field and had study for my LLB through UNISA. On 17 January 2019 I decided to do a law course through Damelin. If I knew what I now know I would never ever consider in using Damelin. The only thing that is not a problem at Damelin is Damelin taking a person’s money legally and / or *******ly. After struggling just to get a student number I had to struggle to get things on their student portal. I have requested assistance seeing that the information in the study material is wrong and outdated (on the pre-requisite form) from a tutor, which up to date never happened. Doesn’t help you call Damelin because the message is always the same…..”Sorry, I don’t work with that” even though that is the number available to students. I send numerous emails to numerous people at Damelin and not one of them tried to solve the problems I had. The study material is of so low standard and the information therein so wrong that I couldn’t see myself going on with the course and the fact that not one person is ever available to assist and the poor or rather non-existing student support and service, I had made to decision to cancel. I also requested that my deposit be paid back to me as the reason I am cancelling is as mentioned above. The cancellation took place 02 18/03/2019 and yet again I sent it to all emails I have for Damelin which includes one of directors. Yet again nobody on this side of Damelin tried to assist me in this regard. On 15 May 2019 a Lameez Blignaut from the complaints department sent me an email wherein he requested my student number which I provided to him. Up to date, that was the sum of the assistance I received from Damelin. Mr Blignaut never emailed me after his 1st email. I have cancelled the stop order at the bank but Damelin still takes money from my account by changing the reference number which by the way is *******. The also sent me letters stating I owe them +- R20 000,00. If Damelin puts my name on the credit bureau because of their bad service their will be hell to pay. I want my deposit back from Damelin. And my bank fees for every time I have to go into the bank and request that the money Damelin stole be reversed back into my account. Plus, the money I have to pay for every time Damelin tries to take money from my account and there is no money available. They are in contravention of the Consumer-, Financial-, and and laws. I have warned Damelin time and time again and they just ignored me. I have contacted our local paper here in the Lowveld because this needs to stop. I am not the only person who they are ruining with their so-called studies and then they milk people for money that Damelin has no right to. You can’t even post a complaint on any of Damelin’s facebook pages because Damelin received so many that they stopped all posting from outside sources accept from Damelin itself. I am also in the process with legal steps against Damelin which also includes *****. I am sick of places like Damelin who thinks they can get away with what they are doing. This is just in short what I have been going through with Damelin. I have a paper trial as long as my leg that I can bury them with.
