Fees reflecting in Areas

I have paid my fees in full for a course I was doing. But the college has had my name up under arrears for a number of years & this is reflecting badly on my name & credit score. I went to the college and gave them proof (Hardcopy) of the payment in Benoni they referred me to a branch in DBN last year and till today my name is reflecting negatively under their status. What further steps should I take as this is really affecting my Credit record
