Damelin = Horrible

We have been patient, kind, friendly and calm and yet Damelin staff does not care, so we have decided to take this further. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH DAMELIN CORRESPONDANCE COLLAGE!!!! My husband and I registered with Damelin Correspondence collage December 2015 for the N4, N5, N6 Entrepreneurship and Business Management Diploma with the help of a lady called Karin Waverley and so far, she is the only person there that has done her work. We completed and sent through all necessary documents to register. We did an EFT payment of the FULL Diploma course fees for both of us on 21/12/2015 the full amount of R27,900.00 We were told we will receive our work 21 working days after the payment date. We waited as it was the December holiday – we then emailed Damelin CC 3 times and made numerous calls to find out why we have not received our work and then only received it on 09/02/2016. We immediately started going through our work and then saw we received old work from Damelin CC as the exam dates and other important dates were for 2014 we also then went on their web page and could not find the dates we needed. Because of receiving the work so late in the year we missed the first registrations for the exams and had to wait again to receive the correct work from Damelin CC. We also enquired with a couple of phone calls to Damelin CC about our tutors assigned to us and our Damelin.me emails and had no help regarding this. We received a list of books from Damelin CC we needed to buy ourselves that cost us R2000.00 per set. After we received our books from the book store and new work from Damelin CC we started immediately with our work, after a couple of weeks into our work we realised that the list of books Damelin CC gave us had 2 books on it that were for another course and yet again we had the wrong work and we paid for those books and cannot send it back! We then received the correct books from Damelin CC quite some time after that. When we wanted to send in our assignments and had so much trouble doing this as every time we contacted Damelin CC the staff had different stories as how we can send through our assignments. Some Damelin CC staff then said we don’t need a Damelin.me email to send through work or queries we can use our gmail accounts and we can email our assignments and do not have to post them. We emailed our first assignments 27/04/2016 without knowing a format etc. we then waited for results that we had to request. I made so many phone calls to Damelin CC to find out our results but had no help, I then sent emails and after a very looooong wait I received my results 14/07/2016 without it stating if I passed or not. When we wanted to register for our exams for the second part of the year no one could help us as Damelin CC staff said ‘We as students must register ourselves at the nearest ETF collage’ but when we phoned the collage they said ‘No your Damelin CC tutor must register you’ NO ONE COULD HELP US AFTER I MADE SO MANY PHONE CALLS JUST TO REGISTER FOR THE EXAMS. And o yes, our tutor did phone us sometime in March 2016 and claimed he will email us some info and then we have his email so that he can help us when we have trouble but HE NEVER DID! And another thing I phoned so many times and I KNOW I COMPLETED THE FORMS Correctly and yet Damelin CC staff got it right to put my gmail email address wrong into their system so I did not receive any emails from them and o yes neither did my husband even though they got his email address correct. Damelin CC broke their contract with us in so many ways and yet when we first said we want to cancel the Dimploma after having so much trouble they immediately said we cannot get our money back as we are breaking contract. What a bunch of *******! Damelin CC does not care for their students after they have received their money. We are demanding our full payments back we will even send the work we received back to Damelin CC as we don’t want anything to do with Damelin Correspondence Collage anymore. Below is an email I sent through to a Manager and his assistant at Damelin Correspondence Collage on 10/01/2017 that were supposed to help us after all this frustration and I have not received any reply. Seems like Damelin CC in South Africa really is pathetic. Good day Gavin and Kellie, All the best to you for the new year. We have looked at the documents etc. and thought about the time that has been lost and money spent on the diplomas, books, phone calls etc. and the effort and frustration Damelin South Africa has caused us and with all the trouble we have had to get to this point for you to help us: Long story short: -We do not want to carry on with the diploma. -Damelin have wasted our time and money. -Damelin broke their own contract with us. -As Damelin students, Damelin did not give us the time, help and assistance that we needed and that was due and promised to us and paid for in full upfront by us. -We want all our money back. 'Damelin The Career Development College' All we developed by trying to study through Damelin Correspondence College was irritation and frustration. 'Success' The accomplishment of an aim or purpose' We wanted to be successful with our Deplomas and accomplish our dreams with the assistance of Damelin but what a huge letdown Damelin Correspondence College has been.
