Damelin College Non Refunds

PAY BACK THE MONEY 510 days since cancellation and 310 days since agreement on refund, 70 days since escalation to *** - still waiting for refund

Since Damelin has removed the review options under reviews, since no replies are forthcoming from *** and ***, since refunds department at *** cannot assist with this querry and since Student Support Manager, Student Services Team Leader and Refunds Administrator does want to provide us contact details to escalate this to, I have no option but to post this here:

Current situation: This has now been escalated to *** with the Refunds Administrator Emilio Perumal (***) the contact person. For 70 days the only answer forthcoming is that finance needs to decide when the payment will be made. As noted before, it seems that the intent of Damelin is not to do refunds as per agreement as can be seen from the article in Daily Maverick and posts under review section on Damelin Facebook page and also comments on Hello Peter. The question then is why go to all the effort to have Refund Administrators etc if the intent is not to do the payouts. Just come clean and categorically state that this is not going to happen.

Previous history: We gave notice to Damelin that we would be terminating our enrollment at Damelin in February 2021. We managed to get feedback from them in August 2021 at which time we agreed on the refund amount. Have been waiting since then for the refund. Managed to get through to the call center beginning February 2022 (which in itself is no mean feat) at which time we were informed that our payment was on the critical list. Since then we have been in contact with Craig Aziz (***, Student Services Team Leader) and Shakier Achmat (***, Student Support Manager) but the only feedback is that they are waiting for payment date confirmation from the finance department. The Damelin agreement states that the refund will made be 90 days after agreement with them is reached on the refund amount. This now 310 days ago.
