Cancellation for my studies

I had registered with Damelin CC about two years and a little after I had paid my registration fees, I decided not continue because I had lot on my plate at the time. I called them ask them to cancel my studies as I can no longer afford it, the person I spoke to at that time just said 'ok' and I assumed that the cancellation was done. A year later I decided to check my credit report and to my surprise I found Damelin under my name! so called them to find out what's going on because as far as I know that account was cancelled before I could even begin with my studies. The lady explained to me that the first person I spoke to didn't give the correct info, she told me that I need to write a letter requesting the college to cancel my studies and even gave me an email address for where this letter is supposed to go. After I sent the letter through I got a response from a lady by the name of Angelinah Mashele, acknowledging my letter and explaining how long it will take before I receive a response. I patiently waited for this response and when it came through I asked Angelinah if it mean that they have updated my credit info with the credit bureaus and she said 'yes because your account has been closed'. A month later I decided to check my credit report again and Damelin was still there so I decided to sent her an email just to find out what could be the problem and she apologized and said she will give me feedback asap, I have waiting for her to come back to me but instead she decided that she will ignore my emails and this was three month ago. Anyhow I decided to lodge a dispute with the credit bureaus and I did a follow with one of them and they told me that they are still waiting for Damelin to respond to the email they sent to them regarding my dispute. This people are so disrespectful and have no regards to people's lives because I can't purchase anything on credit because I look like I'm ************* because I have an unpaid account hanging over my name!
