Have to prove specials advertised online due to staff having no idea and no in-store pamphlets or awareness of specials. Paid 35% more for an item that was simply a different colour.
Recently purchased a 2nd hand bike and thought I would purchase some gloves / helmet etc from cycle labs. On the Cycle lab website there are lots of specials which I thought was great and had already pre-decided a few things I wanted. However when going to the shop there is not 1 sign or pamphlet displaying any of these specials. If asking any employees about the special no one has any idea. When taking the items I saw online to go pay the clerk told me I must show her the advert online otherwise I couldn't get it at the discounted price (The gloves I wanted, even though everything about it was exactly the same they only had a different colour so was forced to pay 200 more as the only colour in my size wasn't on special even though there is no other difference, these people literally charge between 350 and 550 for different colour of the exact same glove).
This is atrocious and a disgusting business practice and I will happily never return.
Hi! Apologies for your poor experience, from time to time we do have specials that are run on line only and sometimes we over buy in one particular colour-way of a product and then need to mark that colour glove down to move it . Please send me your number or mail me [***]

You lure unsuspecting clients in with your online deals and hope they don't notice and if they do you force them to prove it otherwise claim their wrong / lying (do you think the people behind me where happy to wait longer while I proved all my specials or that I felt like an idiot having to do that in the first place?).
While I can understand that you literally have all 5 colours at 4 or 5 different prices. In general it doesn't cost more to produce in a different colour. It's not like you even had all the sizes in the one you had on special so you are literally targeting unsuspecting consumers again. I've never in my life taken a different colour of a special and been forced to pay more, it's not like you even indicate it's limited to that exact colour.
Firstly - none of these item's were indicated to be "online only". 2ndly - In a world where everything is so interconnected and all the information is readily available you cannot use an excuse that you do not have an internal process to display the specials online and that the client must prove it.
I'll take my business elsewhere even if I must pay a bit more atleast they are clear and honest.
