8 Weeks and counting......and still not Bike back after taking it in for a Shock service

I took my Mountain Bike in to Cyclelab Boksburg, on the 26th of July 2020, as my front Rockshox was leaking air, after i was still riding with the bike the day before. I got told that they will strip the front fork from the Bike and send it to Cape town as the agents for Rockshox is there, and they will send a quote to repair the shock. On the 29th of July I gave cyclelab a call as I have not heard anything from them, and got told that they are waiting for the quote. They will inform me once they received it. I received a call on the 30th and was given a repair price of R 3,800 for a shock that was only leaking air?? This is due to them needing to replace the complete lower leg, for what I still do not know. And if I go ahead with the repair of the shock, they can not give me a guarantee that it will be 100%.

I then phoned Reggie the Monday, 3th of August, asking if they could please assemble the fork as is, and send it back and I would rather buy a new shock as I am not prepaired to pay so much to repair the shock if a new shock is only a few Rands extra. I then asked Reggie to order a new shock for me, which we agreed to would be R 4000, and he let me know the shock should be there mid August.

Things got busy and more than a week has passed of not hearing anything from cyclelab as I always have to phone and follow up, I decided to go the the store on the Saturday, 15th of August. Just to find out that the broken shock has arrived disassembled in pieces in a box, as it is now apparently beyond repair, they could not re-assemble it, just bearing in mind that I was still riding the bike the day before I took it in for a service on the shock????

Speaking to Reggie regarding the new shock arrival and fitment, I then got told that the shock will only arrive end of August.

I then decided to leave the following up of the shock, as I was told that they will keep me updated regarding the shock. End of August I phone again regarding the shock, and get the same story still waiting for the shock. Now I got given a new date of no later than 15th September the shock will be there and I can get my bike.

So guess what the 15th comes and goes, and I hear NOTHING. Yet again I have to follow up as no feedback whatsoever is given. So on Friday 18th September I phone again as I really need my bike, as it has been 8 WEEKS ALREADY.

I phoned at around 10:00 and get told that Reggie is weekend off and they now will have to follow up and check on their side what the status is of my bike. I was asked to give my number and they would call me back in about 30 minutes.

And yes..... you guessed correct........ at 14:30 I decide to call again as I still did not get e call back, nothing new now, as I got used to having to phone and follow up the whole time, as this is the customer service I receive.

This time I get told again, that I must please give my number and they will phone back, at which I lost the plot a bit...........I insisted in holding the line until someone can give me feedback. After about 10minutes, I get told that they phoned Reggie and he said that they are still waiting for the shock, I must please be patient and they will get Reggie to call me first thing Monday morning 21st September to give me an update.

YES, you are correct AGAIN....... it is now Tuesday 22nd September and still no one has phoned me regarding the status of my bike.

By far this has been the worst service I have ever received from Cyclelab Boksburg, after I have spent money on 2 full on Carbon roadbikes by them in the passed.

How much longer must I still listen to the same excuse, and follow up just to get the same feedback????
