PLAYING WITH A CHILD'S LIFE / FUTURE
What a nightmare!!!!! 18 months down the line.........wow!! If they don't "forget" to register the students for exams, they tell you to pay ICB direct and then claim afterwards that you never paid. If I have to list ALL the complaints and issues (all in writing) there will not be enough space. PARENTS: please do research and make sure you register your child at the right place and I sure as heck hope its not CTU Boksburg.......or any CTU for that matter The parent are always wrong.......be prepared for that
Dear Ms Fourie,
We would like to take this opportunity to clarify that we were unaware of your payment made directly to ICB. We continue to operate in accordance with ICB regulations.
The following procedure regarding ICB re-assessment (re-write) bookings apply (cut-off dates apply for entry to exams that need to be completed):
- Students book and pay for an ICB exam at their registered CTU campus.
- Only distance learning students would pay ICB fees directly to ICB. Classroom-based students would be billed directly from their registered institution.
- On receipt of an ICB payment fee, an examination date is chosen as per the ICB national exam schedule (Timetable A).
- The student would receive an exam booking confirmation e-mail from ICB directly.
- Should a student fail an ICB exam they can apply for an ICB re-assessment also known as a rewrite only once. So students get a second chance.
According to our records, your daughter completed an exam in July 2017 and was due for a re-write in February 2018. According to the ICB examination policy this would require for the student to be booked as a first time entry for the September or November date. Our academic department will continue to communicate with you in order to settle your concerns and ensure a more seamless experience going forward.
You are welcome to in the meantime view the ICB examination policy here: https://www.icb.org.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/icb-exam-policy.pdf. If you have any further queries or concerns, kindly contact us at Customer Support: ***.
