CTU - Stay away! You will waste your time and money

I would not recomend this college at all to anyone. We have never ever expierienced such frustration and regret from any other educational institute. From the first day, we struggled with them. I really think that there are primary schools that is being managed way better.

Finally after a very long struggle my son received his N4 and N5 certificate for his Mechanical engineering diploma which he enrolled in 2021. After a long struggle and exam papers that went missing and rewrites etc that had to be done because of CTU's Negligence, my son finally completed and passed his Mechanical Engineering N6 in April 2023.

He was invited to graduation where they gave him a paper that indicates he passed N6, but this was not the "Actual certificate" that comes from the Department of Higher education. I querried this issue with them directly after the graduation, where they confirmed that DHET did communicate with them and that the certificates would be ready in 3 weeks time. (This was May 2024).

Today I followed up again, and I just received the same story. CTU again "assured" me that they communicated with the department earlier this month and AGAIN, it will take 3 weeks.

Is there anybody out there that can advise me how I can get a hold of the right person at DHET so that I can communicate with them myself as to where my sons certificate is? He was supposed to finnish of his practical side by now (to get his diploma) and now because of their bad service he have not even started with the practical side yet, since the company he is working for requires the origanal certificate from DHET showing he did receive his N6 Mechanical engineering certificate.

We enrolled in the year 2021 with the idea that 3 years later my son would have been done with his diploma. (administration and practical). Now 3 years later, he only completed the administration side and stil need to do 18 Months of practical before he can get his Diploma. (If we will ever get his Diploma through this insitution!)

This company is wasting peoples time and money, and playing with their careers.

Do not fall in the same trap! Be Aware!
