Good morning

I am very disappointed in your Bloemfontein campus and especially your marketer, Wilmi Maree and financial administrator, Sulet Ferreira.

In October 2017 my son was enrolled as a student for the CISCO program.

Before enrolling I expressed my concern about the program because the national qualification that he would obtain, was similar to the one he obtained in 2015 - NQF Level 5 - SAQA ID 48537 - IT Systems Support.

Your marketer told me that it is still worth it because of the CISCO international certifications and the possibility of a bursary award was very good.

The fees for the program was shown and explained to be R 56 000 - 00 and that my son can apply for a special CISCO bursary. No amount was mentioned or anything said indicating that the R 56 000 - 00 already had the bursary amount deducted. I decided to enrol my son for the program because we should get a financial relief if the bursary is awarded and it will make up for the fact that the national qualification is the same.

Sulet Ferreira stating that all CISCO students received the original quote for CISCO of R 95 695 -00 is an absolute lie. Never was such a quote received or even discussed with me by your marketer in October 2017.

I was made to believe that an application be submitted and wait and see if the bursary will be awarded. During November 2017 a letter was received indicating that my son had qualified for the bursary to the amount of R 27 928 - 00 .

I work away from home and when i got back in March 2018, i was shown the bursary award letter and a registration letter by my son, indicating two different amounts and the bursary amount not deducted but rather added to the tuition fee.

Bursary letter - Bursary award amount : R 27 928 - 00 Tuition fee : R 56 000 - 00 Registration fee : R 2 000 - 00 Admin fee : R 1 700 - 00 Deposit : R 4 000 - 00

Total : R 91 628 - 00

Registration letter - Cost of course : R 95 6950.00 ( I believe this was a typing error and should be R 95 695 - 00)

Registration fee : R 6 000 - 00 Admin fee : R 1 700 - 00 Tuition fee : R 87 995 - 00

As you can see here is already a difference of R 4 062 - 00 just in these two letters. How do you explain that ??? (eg. R 4062 - 00 x 100 students for example = R 406 200 - 00) Makes one think doesn't it.

I sent an email requesting an account statement and enquired when the bursary amount of R 27 928 - 00 will be deducted because i have agreed to a program fee as follows:

Tuition fee : R 56 000 - 00 Registration fee : R 2 000 - 00 Deposit : R 4 000 - 00 (You must be the only institution adding a deposit instead of subtracting it) Admin fee : R 1 700 - 00

Total : R 63 700 - 00 ( And the possibility of a bursary amount of which the amount was still unknown at this stage)

A chain of emails between your financial officer and myself followed and i am not happy with the answers im getting from her.

She can not show me the quote of R 95 695 - 00 which was supposedly given and discussed with me in October 2017. Nor can she show me a contract signed by me agreeing to that amount. Sulet Ferreira further states that Shandor signed two letters of acknowledgement of the amount and the bursary but let me put it to you that it was more acknowledging receipt of the letters by him because he does not have the power to sign for a debt acknowledgement on my behalf.

My son is now threatened with suspension and not being allowed to write exams next month because i refuse to pay any further money on something i did not agree to.

If your marketer did her work properly in the first place like she should have and not deceive people in this way, it would not have been necessary for me to contact you today. And your financial administrator trying to make me look like the one being dishonest here, is totally unacceptable.

I feel like taking this matter to Carte Blanche or Special Assignment because apart from the bursary issue, you sent me two letters with totals that differ by R 4062 - 00. If this happens to 1000 + students its millions of rands in somebody's pocket isn't it.

It will be appreciated if this issue can be handled as a matter of urgency.

I would like to highlight a few points and need some answers please :

1. During the meeting of 4 October 2017 with your marketer when the Student Enrolment Contract was completed and signed by me for an amount of R 63 700 - 00 with the possibility of receiving a bursary. Never was the then amount of R 95 695 - 00 mentioned by your marketer. Never was it mentioned that the bursary amount was already deducted. This deceiving marketing strategy is just not acceptable.

2. You state that on 25 October 2017 a quote was issued to the parents. Please indicate when, where and by whom was this quote presented and to which parent? Also indicate which parent did not want to sign the quote?

Can you also present me with the quote that was corrected in November 2017 to the amount of R 91 628 - 00 which i believe you gonna tell me we also refused to sign. Common sense tells me, that if someone does not accept a quote, you do not do business with him or her. Isn't that so? It's not the lies that bother me. It's the insult to my intelligence that I find offensive.

3. Registration letter issued on 25 October 2017?? The registration letter Shandor received was dated 8 January 2018. Can you please show me the one dated 25 October 2017?

4. The dissatisfaction comes when a bursary letter dated 20 November 2017 is handed over to Shandor on 30 January 2018. Only then the amount of R 95 695 - 00 is mentioned to Shandor by your people from Bloemfontein campus. And now all of a sudden it is mentioned that the bursary amount was already deducted before even awarded and falsely marketed by your marketer.

5. The bursary letter dated 20 November 2017 mention the following amounts:

Bursary letter - Bursary award amount : R 27 928 - 00 Tuition fee : R 56 000 - 00 Registration fee : R 2 000 - 00 Admin fee : R 1 700 - 00 Deposit : R 4 000 - 00

Total : R 91 628 - 00 (If i do my own maths)

The registration letter dated 8 January 2018 mention the following amounts:

Below find email from Sulet Ferreira dated 15 May 2018 stating the amount as being R 95 695 - 00 and you come and tell me now that the quote on your system was incorrect and was an error on your system. Corrections were made as per the national price-list and app**** to all accounts.

When did you realise your so called system error because on 15 May 2018 you still had it on record as R 95 695 - 00.

I spoke to your wife, the marketer and to our campus manager.

All the Cisco students received the original quote for Cisco of R 95 695.00. as part of your contract.

All the Cisco students received the same bursary with the same discount amount except for one who did not qualify for the bursary.

You were send a letter confirming that Shandor was accepted to CTU which also stated this amount and was signed by Shandor, the marketer and the campus manager.

You were then send the bursary letter/ contract which stated that you qualified for the bursary and it showed what your financial responsibilities were after the amount of the bursary was

deducted. The bursary contract was also signed by Shandor.

Unfortunately it is not possible to deduct the amount again, it was already given.

I was informed by head office that your debit order was returned by the bank, you will now have to pay your monthly fee via EFT or by depositing the money into our account.
