Published adverse listing against me to the credit bureaus despite unable to explain arrears date and amount
C Track SA published an adverse listing against me to the credit bureaus without the required 20 business days’ notice required under the National Credit Act., this despite not clearly informing me the account was apparently in arrears.
The Legal Controller, Mr Pieter Taute, gave conflicting arrears dates, asked me to delay my complaint to the National Credit Regulator while he sought a legal opinion, and has since ignored all follow-up emails asking for an update.
A recon provided by Annelien Swanepoel also does not show arrear amounts nor an explanation of how the account supposedly went into arrears, but despite this C Track has arrogantly refused to remove the adverse listing on my profile.
Adverse credit listings are intended for individuals who demonstrate a pattern of unwillingness to meet their financial obligations, not for clients like myself who act in good faith. Using such measures in this context reflects a deeply ********* and unacceptable corporate practice by C Track SA.
I am a responsible consumer with a consistent history of settling all amounts due when correctly billed, invoiced, and notified.
The question remains who is benefitting from reporting C Track's clients to credit bureaus? A simple phone call or email explaining an amount is overdue would get the client to settle the amount and retain the customer. Hellopeter is full of similar complaints from other clients who have been wrongly listed on credit bureaus by C Track.
I will ending my 10 year relationship with C Track when I have finalised this matter. I have lodged a complaint this morning with the National Credit Regulator and requested they investigate C Track for non-compliance with the National Credit Act.
I would advise anyone to stay away from C- Track unless you want to receive erroneous billing and ruin your credit record. This company operates without ethics or accountability.

Despite the Legal Department's Pieter Taute being unable to explain the discrepancy into how the account suddenly went into arrears in September 2025 which conflicts with his email where he claimed two different dates in 2022 when the account went into arrears.
It is ********* and dishonest to submit a disputed account statement to Transunion, knowing that C Track could not explain when the accounts when into arrears, how the amounts were calculated and suddenly appeared on the statement in September 2025. No company would provide services for an account in arrears since 2022. Anyone considering doing business with this company - be warned.

After weeks of ignoring my emails, C Track’s Legal Department, represented by Pieter Taute, was finally compelled to respond following my complaint lodged on Hello Peter. In his email, he stated : “After investigation and consultation with our attorneys and Management…”
He then admitted that regular statements were NOT sent to me, only invoices, which do not reflect balances or overdue notices.
Despite this admission, Mr. Taute went on to provide incorrect information on Regulation 19(4) (which apparently he consulted C Track's attorneys about - so their attorneys have provided the incorrect legal opinion) . He has, once again, ignored my email response to his latest correspondence.
C Track also failed to address a critical issue: my monthly installment was increased arbitrarily and without notice, after remaining unchanged for about 2. and half years.
Instead of correcting their misconduct, C Track has doubled down. They submitted incorrect information to TransUnion in response to my dispute cases, insisting their actions were correct, even after acknowledging their failure to send regular statements and failing to notify me of the increase nor contacting me with a courtesy call or email prior to the adverse listing.
The arrogance displayed by C Track’s management and legal department is appalling. As a result of their ********* conduct, I terminated my contract with them in December 2025. I have since informed my business associates, friends, and family of their practices, and many have decided to cancel their contracts as well.
Hello Peter is full of complaints against C Track's policy of adverse credit bureau listings against their clients, without warning or notice to them.
C Track’s disregard for their clients is unacceptable, and I believe the public deserves to be warned.
