YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DESPOSIT!! DO NOT STAY AT BOARDWALK HEIGHTS!
I reallocated to Boardwalk Heights (Unit 341) in November 2020, I was assisted with Central Development Staff that assisted me very professionally but around June 2021, I got a Call from Quintin at CSI Properties that informed me that I must move to another unit due to the fact that my current Unit 341 is sold and the owner wants to move into the unit, Quintin was kind enough to arrange moving staff to move me from Unit 341 to Unit 242 (for the inconvenience that they caused).
When I moved into Unit 242 There was no inspection done in the first place, it was a quick walkthrough and that was it, I stayed at the Unit for about 2 months and I have notified CSI of my Termination as per the contract on the 27th of August 2021 and I moved out on the 29th of September (given CSI 34 Days’ notice) Whilst being in Unit 242 I was there on a minimum due to me being in Centurion the majority of the time (and staying there) on the 29th of September one of Gelbry Consultants Inspectors came and inspected the unit for 3 hours and 30 minutes! For a 52m2 unit. I informed the inspector of all the defects that were in the unit prior to my official stay (not that he made any notes).
I then received an email from Bianca Richardson at CSI on the 15th of October 2021 that there is a shortfall and I owe R3750.00 for paintwork and damages and that I have terminated my contract early, I tried to explain to her that I have done NO paintwork in the unit and I have NOT damaged or did anything to the unit, I left the unit in a better condition than I found it in and I have given them more termination time that was required. I want my deposit back. I don’t know how many times I have to repeat myself by saying that I have done NO Paintwork or damaged the Unit that I barely stayed in. I will also take this to the EAAB and Ombudsman to investigate not only my situation but everyone else that might have fallen into the same ****.
