Refusal to pay back deposit

They still refuse to pay back my money. It’s been more than 21 days since I moved out. I moved out on the 31st of March 2025. I was charged a ridiculous amount for a shoe mark on the ceiling. The very same mark I had reported to the agent when I moved in because what business do I have walking on the ceiling?. The very same agent deleted her WhatsApp messages that I had sent reporting the shoe mark. I went and bought my own paint, out of my own pocket on the 15th of April 2025, and the following day I went to paint that shoe mark. They now claim that I was supposed to paint the whole ceiling (now if that doesn’t scream ****** I don’t know), or else I will not be refunded my money. I keep asking for pictures of the ceiling when I moved in but no the agent conveniently forgot to take those specific ones and now they are refusing to pay back even after I used my own money and time to go buy paint and my time going there to paint the shoe mark. They still refusing to pay back my hard earned money. I want my money back this is very unacceptable. I got a call about an investigation last week, but I’m sure that was also to shut me up because they haven’t gotten back to me, but they keep sending me emails that I will not get my money back regardless of me sending them proof that I painted the shoe mark, they are busy telling me about a certain standard. Why standard when the ceiling was dirty when I moved in?.
