CSI RENTALS / PROPERTY MANAGEMENT / DEPOSIT REFUND

How I wish I had seen some of the bad reviews before signing up with CSI RENTALS/PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. I was a tenant with them for over 4 years and when I vacated on 30 March 2022, I cleaned the unit and repaired all possible issues of concern. Their inspector came and conducted the exit inspection and their agent came to inspect and show the property to a prospective tenant on the same day. The prospective tenant was happy with the condition of the unit and secured it immediately. He subsequently took occupation two or three days later, on 1 April 2022, taking the property as is.

The agent was quite, until about a week later when queried the deposit refund. They then made up a story about the unit requiring cleaning and repair work, which they conveniently added up to just I tad more than the deposit, so they can swindle me the entire deposit. At this stage they did not know that I was aware that the tenant had moved in and was already occupying the unit. I also challenged them and disputed the charges.

I have not heard from them, since. I Will patiently explore available remedies and thought I should warn others.
