CSI Property Development - can we trust them?

A new development called The Madison was started by CSI Property Development in Capensis rd, Amberfield, Centurion., South Africa - postal code 0157 I strongly warn all potential buyers NOT to consider buying property from CSI Property Development. By way of a short summary of our experiences at Riverside (also called Riverside@Amberfield Valley, Capensis Road, Centurion), you will discover why they can not be trusted on their word: a. Nearly two years later - and we still do not have fiber installed - though the marketing promotions included fiber as one of the perks of buying. When I state 'installed' I mean physical fiber cables laid in trenches. None, zip, no trenches were included in the building plans - nada, zero! b. Though fixes on a relatively long retention list has been done just in time, with delays on a few items, there are still cracks, paint chipping, door panels coming loose (at bottom of door). c. Our one neighbour's house was flooded last year after heavy rains because the drainage was not built properly. Only after the incident and after we asiisted to put pressure did the developers build a trough to divert the water - despite the neighbours attempts before the flooding to warn the developers. d. Our other neighbour discovered a squere hole - like a small well, approcimitaly 0.5mx0.5m by 1m deep on the side of her lawn, like a man hole. It was covered by grass. Fortunately for her, she did not step on it as it would definitely have broken a leg or hurt her badly. It's as if the man hole was placed in the wrong place and then covered up with grass. It was fixed by putting a plastic grid on top of it. No excuse, no apologies, and now a part of her lawn has this grid hole with no purpose. e. The final straw, tonight we sit without power because CSI Peoperty Development has not paid the electricity account to the city of Tshwane since the development was finished in mid-2017. AN outstanding balance of around R650 000 is being paid to the council. In the meantime the whole of Riverside is without power tonight. Arrangements for tomorrow, for example housekeepers to come for work, has to be cancelled as it is not sure whether there will be power. Last week I paid our prepaid electricity in advance to ensure there is enough power. This only covers our connection to the transformer, but what does this help if the bill from the transformer is not paid. It really seems like CSI Property developers are there for one thing, and that is to make quick money. In no time you'll find another development springing up, like the Madison. The Hudson was completed last year. A private school was completed last year. No interest in the residents. We put in an offer with the understanding that we can move in September, 2017. Sure enough, building was completed by end of July 2017. CSI Property Development wanted to force us to move in a month earlier. This while we gave notice and were arranging for our house to be sold by September only. We, fortunately, brought their attention to the contract where we specifically stated +-August - on their strong recommendation, as they did not want to put in September.

Be that as it may, please consider it carefully before investing in CSI Property Development.
