Celebrations Retirement Village

I am reviewing Central Developments and CSI Rentals for Celebrations Retirement Village. I rented a unit for my parents 70 and 86 year old folks last year February My lease expired end January 2024. My mom fell in the washing bay in the beginning of December as this area is always wet and not conducive for elderly folk. I was not requested at the beginning of January if I want to extend. I gave notice in January as my parents have become too frail. I was told I have to pay for the entire month of Feb which I dually did.

At the end of Jan I was informed that a new tenant was approved and want to come for a viewing on the 3rd of Feb. I called CSI and was told they will pay me the pro rata as I was moving my parents out on the 15th of Feb. I also enquired about a security gate that they made me pay when we moved in as the owner did not want to install. I requested to be refunded and was told no. I then said I will remove it because it cost me R5600 and I could only use their contractor. I was then told it was a fixture and cannot so basically it is their gain and my loss.

I went for the viewing on the 3rd of Feb with the new tenant. This tenant was late and by they time they came the agent Andrea was no where to be found, so I showed them the unit and had to explain who the complex worked.

On the morning of the 15th I was informed that the agent Andrea cannot meet for final inspection due to car issues and I must leave the keys in the kitchen window which will mean the window will be open.

3 days later I was asked to meet that day. Which I could not due to work. I was told a link will be send with the final report for me to sign. This is where your issues starts.

1. R1100 for cleaning due to a moth that laid eggs on the light. A spider that made a webb, floors that are sticky, shower that has water and dirty toilet. Now take in mind 3 days after we moved out. Key in the window and a window open. In acceptable we were not in the units for 3 days until this inspection. 2. R3000 which a quote was obtained on 1 March 2024 to repaint the unit but the report states clean but walls looks shiny. Chip out the windowsill outside which u you can clearly see it a building problem because it no concrete but painted. Hairline cracks in the walls, again a building problem 3. Pro rata is not being paid back 4. Today I got told to remove the gate

I find Celebrations Retirement Village rental people to not be very honest. Let me actually say CSi rentals because I believe they are separate. I need Central Developments to correct CSI Rentals lack of customer service. I need to be fully refunded and actions to be taken against those extremely rude staff I.e Andrea Herman and the lady that works with Herman
