So Disappointed

Due to foot pain, I'd heard that crocs shoes were easy to walk on. I ordered my first pair last year. I found the pair comfortable under the foot but difficult to wear because it kept coming off. I decided to order another pair for winter - some moccasins. They looked lovely and felt comfortable but then they made my feet stink. I can't wear them anymore. I keep washing them but then after wearing them for only a day, my feet stink terribly - it's so embarrassing.

I decided to order a different pair. Please note that their stock is limited and it's very hard to find something you want in your size. They sent me one but it was too loose so I asked for an exchange - the next size down. It took forever to get any response via email and they don't answer their customer service line - it either rings or goes to an answering maching. They sent me the next size without extra cost. But it was too tight. Huh?? At the time, they never fetched the first pair with the courier. So, I asked for another exchange. It took weeks to get a response with emails and multiple phone calls. They eventually arranged a courier to fetch my shoes giving no mention of whether they'd give me an exchange or not to get something decent. Now I've just received an email from them informing me that they're sending the first pair back as there is a dirty spot on it. That means I've spent over R300 with them and don't have a single pair of shoes that work. In fact, in total, I've spent close to a R1000 on them, if not more, let alone all the time in packing up parcels, sending emails, making phone calls, etc. How is a person supposed to try on a shoe without getting a bit of dirt underneath? I never wore them to a party. Why would I if they didn't fit? So, not only do they take forever to respond but when they do, they have no concern for the customer and all that they have been through in the whole process of finding a shoe that fits.

Moral of the story - never buy shoes online, especially from crocs. I'm so disappointed as I think they may have a good product, but if they can't be gentle and helpful with a customer, then it's not worth it. I shall look elsewhere for my footcare needs.

Reviewer Update

Honeybee17's latest news about Crocs SA: I received the shoes back today which according to Crocs are in such a bad condition that they can't be resold. There was a tiny dirt mark on the inside by the heel. I wiped it off as the shoes are rubber and not leather. The shoes look brand new. Now I have to try to sell them locally because the company won't give me a refund and I can't wear them as they don't fit me or anyone in my family. What baffles me the most is what could've taken a few minutes to wipe by one of their staff to make the shoes good enough to sell again, they've instead used up lots of admin time and company funds to send it back via courier. And in the process they've lost a loyal customer - me. If I could, I'd post a picture on here to show how new the shoes look!
