Awful quality and poor customer service

I purchased a pair of crocs shoes 2 weeks ago. I was assured it would stretch in front if I wore it. I travelled with it from Cape Town to Johannesburg, wearing it for one day. My feet were bruised and cut. It did not stretch. I called Crocs Waterfront branch and was told I can bring it in and I will be refunded. I explained I was not able to bring it in within 7 days because I was in Johannesburg. The person I spoke to said that was ok and I should bring it in as soon as I can. I went a week later and was told the shoes were worn and can't be resold so I will not be refunded, nor will I be allowed an exchange. The manager, Ntoshi, was not accommodating at all, and clearly cared very little about customer satisfaction. I asked how I am supposed to stretch the shoe if I cannot wear it, and she told me I should have walked on a soft carpet. Excuse me? That is the most ridiculous thing I've heard. I don't have time to break Crocs shoes in by walking in circles on a soft carpet. If this shoe cannot be used outside, what on earth do I need it for? When I asked her what I'm expected to do without a refund, she told me she can use a hair dryer to try to stretch the shoe. I'm not interested. I expect a higher level of comfort and quality from Crocs and am very disappointed in this poor level of quality and service. It is unacceptable. I will not purchase Crocs again and will advise everyone I know not to either. Pathetic. What a waste of time and money.
