Hey CI, please don't sell your services to small businesses! Rather be honest and tell us it's not worth it

<p>My gripe is with getting talked into doing business with CI in the first place. I'm a small business, own one house that I let, and handed over a single tenant who owed us about R20000. I asked before I signed up if it's worth my while as it's little money in the bigger scheme of things (but a lot for me), but was schmoozed well and proper by the CI sales peoples.</p> <p>Other debt collectors just told me upfront – it's not worth your while. It can take years. They can disappear. etc. And in the end, for a debt like R20000, you'll have to pay at least R3000 sub. (And then, if you forget to cancel in time like I did (my bad!), you automatically get locked into another R3000, and there's no turning back).</p> <p>I originally handed my tenant over to CI because I wanted them to be blacklisted so other landlords don't go through the mission and pain I had to, but R6000 to spare others is a bit steep (and blacklisting only happens after a really LONG TIME. I wonder if it will ever happen with my tenant.).</p> <p>Other small businesses please learn from my mistake – don't go this route. It costs too much, and it's not worth it. But if you still want to do it… remember to cancel your sub in time. Otherwise threats.</p>
