Credit Intel over charging the customer
I have been struggling to do the right thing. My mother went to the the blood bank in November of last year and we owed the blood bank R355, but the service was terrible and they gave us two blood packs and told as to go to a doctor. Then we started receiving text messages and e-mails say we were handed over to Credit Intel. We set up a debt order to which failed as the consultant wrote the wrong account number. A total over more than 10 sms, email and phone calls where sent to us and every time the outstanding amount went up by then over R100. Every communication is charged even if you call them they charge you a extra R10 for you calling them, come on this is my airtime why charge me. The answer is that you will always owe them even when they give a settlement figure. Now this practice is ********* cause once a settlement figure is given this is binding for 5 days but this company adds another R100 on your account. My mom is a pensioner who is busy dying from a blood disorder my mom only receives R1000 p/m. So the payment went up to R516 on the 4th of January. I phoned another 5 times and spoke to 5 agents and one supervisor and they could not help. Again I was charged another R10 per call. I would like Credit Intel to pay us back R260. To close I would like Michael Shackleton, a non-executive director of Credit Intel and partner at Shackleton and Mohapi Attorneys, was widely applauded on "Actions to Consider when your Debtor has Fled," with a focus on evolving technologies, credit policy and the legal process. The agents are *********** and the settlement figure of R423 to be refunded to the figure of R355. I would like a refund of R257 to be sent to my mom's account. Lastly never deal with this company as you will be charged for anything and everything. Regards Brandon Watt
