Credit Intel Harassing 82 year old women on dept she dose not owe

To start. my mother is 82 years old a pensioner and has a 100% rebate. according to the law The City will provide 100% rebate to pensioners age 70 and above, irrespective of income, on condition that the maximum value of the property, does not exceed R2.5 million. now that being said she has been covered by this rebate. for a few years now. and has been settled with the help of my late older brother and my cousin.

Now this company keeps calling and now sending sms's to my moms phone say that she owes R37000 something to the city of Johannesburg. Which she dose not as she is covered by the rebate and owes nothing. who ever is not doing there job that side should wake up because this is now escalating to now treating my 82 year old mother with a trace.

firstly she is 82 her eye sight is declining and so is her hearing so her health is a bit fragile. Secondly she is under a rebate. So as for that, tracing for an 82 year old women and harassment and she is a pensioner firstly i will take it up with the POPI ACT. In South Africa, there is what is known as prescribed debt, and in simple terms, this can refer to an old debt that has not received any acknowledgement for three years or more. but there is no dept to pay in the first place. As all of it was settled a few years back with the rebate as my mother was told she dose not have to pay anything that it was all cleared. if the keep up with this harassment and threats on paying a dept we have not acknowledged. I will bring in POPI and i will get a lawyer for harassment of an elderly women who is frail.
