Not delivered my Parcel that was meant to be delivered overnight

<p>A friend of mine sent me a parcel from Sandton postnet for overnight delivery (meant to be delivered 27 July 2016).</p> <p> </p> <p>After CourierIT tried to call me, I returned their missed call within 5 minutes of their call, around 13H17. (A call centre person who responded informed me that they will call me back and will deliver my parcel at the office).</p> <p> </p> <p>I waited until 15h50 when i realised i will leave at 16h00 and the parcel is not delivered and they havent called me back. I then called CourierIT again, and the person who answered the phone started telling me stories, that they called me and they didnt find me, therefore I must fo to Pinelands postnet. I informed the agent that I cant because i returned the call and i was promised i will be called again. Furthermore i informed her that the service we bought was a door to door delivery not counter to counter. </p> <p>The agent was dismissive, and told me that the driver says he cant come back, and he will bring it today (28 July 2016). A suggestion which i refused to accept, citing that the reason we bought an overnight delivery was because the parcel was urgent for me to wait for another day. We paid premium for an overnight delivery, not for 2 days service. </p> <p> </p> <p>After the agent put me on hold, and later promised to call me back, she did with a proposal that they will deliver after hours at my house in Durbanville. I provided them with my address and they promised to deliver the parcel on wednesday night. </p> <p> </p> <p>I sat and wait for the ellusive call, until 23h30 when i went to bed. </p> <p> </p> <p>I need to know what is my recourse on this matter. </p> <p> </p> <p>BTW: You've just ruined my Wife's birthday surprise, and broke my 4 year tradition, because she was supposed to get her present hidden in her car when she wake up this morning.</p> <p> </p> <p>THANK YOU FOR RUINING MY PLANS AND FOR EMPTY PROMISES THAT YOU'VE MADE. </p>
