Courierit - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

the past month, courier It has lost my small business over R3000 worth of goods. You would think that they would show some kind of remorse and try to rectify the situation, but they do not even have the decency to reply to my emails when I enquire on the progress of the investigation.

On 23 July Courier It collected a parcel from me. The next week I queried the delivery status with them as tracking showed Collection warning. For a full week they tried to deny they collected the parcel despite me having proof of the signed waybill upon collection. Weeks went by with vague "we will follow up" emails but no progress was made.

I was liaising with Jenny the account manager as well as Florence, but neither of them have been the least bit helpful. When I keep querying the progress and what is being done, Jenny advised that they are unable to locate it, but they are “hopeful” they will find it. I am not sure if they are aware, but hope does not pay the bills. I further asked what is the deadline on this investigation of the lost parcel, and there has been no response. It has now been over a month since Courier it lost my parcel (valued at R850) and now they refuse to reply to my emails, reimburse me or provide any kind of update.

Since Courier It lost my parcel, they should reimburse me for the value of the goods.

In addition to the lost parcel, there were also 2 occassions whereby the driver was “highjacked” and the parcels were ******. Each parcel was valued at R850 and R1435 respectively. Again, they refuse to reimburse me for the value of the shipment.

I have spoken with other small businesses in the ecommerce space and it seems that all the other courier companies such as The Courier Guy, Globeflight and Fastway all reimburse their clients for lost or ****** shipments.

If you are looking for a reliable courier partner, make sure you stay far away from Courier It as you will only incur losses with them.
