Courier it gave bad service

I ordered a product at takealot, on 04/06/2025. Payed on 04/06/2025. Courier it will deliver. First message received said, delivery on 13/06/2025. Second message said, delivery on 09/06/2025, only received on 10/06/2025. Was at home on 09/06/2025 anyway, no delivery. Third message said, courier delay, delivery reschedule. Then dead quiet. On 19/06/2025, fetched phone, it was charging in the night. Unlocked screen, message from courier it and 3×missed calls, tried calling back, no luck. Delivery missed. Message received, courier delay, reschedule.

24/06/2025, message received after i contacted costomer services at takealot. Order cancelled, can't deliver. Credit at takealot.

I was at home on the 9th of june, although the message for delivery came through a day late on 10th of june. No package was delivered.

If i am not warned with a message in advance, how can i be ready to accept the package? This is very bad service. Please don't use courier it for any package deliveries.
