unfair treatment of clients and very poor service

I bought a house in a new development area called Skycity in Alberton JHB, my Bond was approved within two weeks. On my first viewing of the property no one was residing in it, as it was a new house that the previous applicant was disapproved by the financial institution. Three weeks later after I viewed the house, I divested to go and view again because my bond was already been approved by the bank, I find out that there is people staying in this property. When I ask the sales Manager, and client relations and band manager but nothing is happening till date it’s been three months now. No one wants to give me answers as to when I’m going to move into the house.

I have requested that When move into my house I request a new stove because people that are residing in this house are using it, I was told to either take the house as it is or move to another house.

I’m sorry I can not refere anyone to these people. I have undergone immersive emotional trauma, and financial loss due to this company.

Please assist in resolving this matter.

Dear Client

Our log details for easy reference: 58 W

Transaction Status: House 100%; Signed 15 Sept

Summary & Problem Identified: It is unfortunate that after constant feedback and communication you still find it necessary to report your unhappiness on Hallo Peter. Further you find it necessary to distort the facts to create incorrect perceptions. Yet, our teams are working at full steam to resolve your issue.

It is correct your house is complete. Further it is correct that at the time of you viewing the house we had already arranged for another client to occupy the unit as it was standing empty. That particular client had a desperate need for accommodation. Also the property would then not be at risk to theft and vandalism.

It is very unfortunate that the timing crossed at your viewing the unit and the occupancy of the other client, we could not foresee one situation affecting another.

  • It is incorrect for you to create the impression that we are not prepared to give you a new stove, this has been agreed to.
  • Also it is incorrect to distort that we were not willing to assist you. The house was a ready built unit, you requested some changes which we could not easily accommodate. You were given the option to purchase another property which may better suit your needs. You opted to remain with the first unit.
  • To say you have suffered financially is also not true. You are not yet the owner of the property. There is no bond instalment or municipal cost due by you as you are not the owner.
  • Further, we also offered you another new house to reside in with your family, free of any costs, until your house becomes available,
  • and finally we also offered to pay for the move between the two houses on site.

Corrective Action: From our side to try to make up for the inconvenience you suffer, we have further offered to look into your initial request for changes and would have submitted for a plan change. This you were to discuss with your wife and give feedback. At this stage we are finalizing the unit for the other party and will advise you as soon as this happens.

Kind regards

Isalina Barreto
