Slow Progress
Hi I’ve started with the application of the house 11 months ago now which I urgently needed a house due to personal reasons ,I understand there was a delay with regards to Covid 19,Which the construction and other part of the bussiness has resumed but I feel there’s no sense of urgency ,The reason you opt to buy a house is because your in need of it ,Daily I must to follow ups which is time consuming and you sometimes speak to people who are not friendly on the phone and have to deal with it,Next month is a full year,munincipal rates are accumulating without me moving in as yet ,I’m now impatient as I don’t nolonger have a place to stay ,The latest feedback not update I got was the Occupation certificate is still outstanding ,can I please get an estimated occupational date as this is strain in my everyday life House no 36677 Ext 40 Protea Glen Email *** Contact numbers ***

I have tried to contact you on the number provided on the back end of Hello Peter.
I expect you may be a family member / friend of the stand you refer to as we have a different name as to the owner on our system.
We did receive a query directly from the owner this morning.
We did advise our client of the delay we have at this final stage.
Being we wait on the electrical meter.
The house had been 90 percent complete at initial lockdown.
This being that the structure, electrical and plumbing fittings and finishes were complete. Only outstanding was the water and electrical meter which is the last to be recieved as the structure must be 80 percent complete before council will authorize the release thereof.
Happily we were able to collect the water meter on 1 June, as soon as lockddown was upliften for our industry.
The electric meter was to be made available in the course of that same week.
Unfortunately the depot where the meters are dispatched from was closed within the first week of opening on 1 June - due to a staff member testing positive for Covid.
The division was closed dowm immediately with all staff having to self quarantine and premises treated with sanitizing protocol.
The depot was due to open yesterday, however sanitizing protocol was not complete.
It was due to open today.
We will follow up tomorrow with our contractor if he was able to get access and collect our meters.
While the transacton has taken several months, this particular extension was released with services (roads, sewer infrastructure etc) still being finalized.
With the huge demand for this particular area, we started sales so that we can accomdate our clients wanting to own property in this area as soon as possible.
Please be assured we are eager to install the electric meter so that we may finalize getting inspectors out for the electrical and occupancy certificates needed.
Should we receive the electrical meter this week, we anticipate being able to hand over keys to the owner in the 3rd week in July.
