Sky City-Electricty Outages 12+ Hours
Please can you explain or investigate how we always get outages for more than 12 hours when load shedding lasts up to 4 hours.
This has happened more than once 13 Jan,27 Feb, 18 May to mention but a few incidents. Calls to ekurhuleni also don't explain why this happens in our area.
There was bit one incident that you guys sent us messages but that was it. Who is to held responsible cause clearly this can't be load shedding?

We are aware of the downtime of power at your suburb.
Our land development teams are in urgent meetings this morning with the power utilities (Eskom & Ekurhuleni) to get to the root of the problem to resolve why your suburb experience this lag to be back "on" after load shedding.
The entirety of Ekurhuleni has had unprogrammed load shedding throughout the night and still today.
On a technical side I do not have the knowledge to gauge the extent of probable damage which may be caused to the main and sub-stations by the constant unplanned switch off and on. It is reasonable to expect that these constant surges are bad for electrical infrastructure.
We do agree you are correct that for your specific suburb to remain off long after the intermittent load shedding is not acceptable. We give our urgent attention to this.
We also do have special awareness that your suburb has been experiencing several electrical outages over the last few months. This is being addressed with current ongoing investigative processes whereby some extensions are being reviewed for rearticulating of electrical infrastructure.
Kind regards

With relief, we confirm that power was restored on site mid-morning.
We had been advised by Ekurhuleni that the power did not switch on remote as it should at the end of the load shedding period. An Eskom team had to come out to do a manual switch on at the main supply station.
We are not easing up on this situation. In as much as our clients are hugely affected so is our business.
As you are aware this project is a 10 year venture for us. We work tirelessly to find resolution to urgently remedy this situation, specifically twofold:
Our clients experiencing such hardship and frustration was never our intention, negatively impacting goodwill and our reputation.
Secondly, as a business, all our turnaround times, targets and house delivery is negatively affected. This has huge financial loss implications for us.
Be assured wherever we can, in as far as we are allowed, we do assist the local council to meet the requirements needed by our growing community.
Kind regards
