I started the process of buying a house in July 2020 and I signed with the lawyers on the 5th of September 2020 after that the house was only built in March and there are continuous inspections that Cosmopolitan does not explain to us as buyers. Basically wen u initially sign they sell you a dream and they delay alot because they sell alot of houses but the sub contractors are less so they take forever to finish. They promised me to move in April but our recent talks they said July taking the wait to 12 months if I knew this I would never buy with Cosmopolitan. I am really disappointed.

Unfortunately, we still wait on both your water and electric meter to be installed by council. From our side your house is complete.
However, we require both water and electrical meters to be installed before the council inspector will provide the two certificates needed for legal occupation of the property.
Unfortunately it is impossible to provide a time line when developing a new property since there are many external parties involved in the process. We experience delays on various council processes being the lag caused by Covid restrictions whether man-power or equipment needed for installation.
Specific on water and electric meters. The components that are used to manufacture the meters are imported from outside the country and then assembled in South Africa.
Due to travel restrictions there is a major shortage of components at any given time.
Please bear with us. We accept that these delays are extremely frustrating for you as your life plans are put on hold. For us as business not being able to conclude your transactions, the delays are equally felt, we cannot complete your house, delaying payment for our product. Please be assured our Project Management are daily working together with council and the relevant manufactures to get our meters as soon as possible.
I will request the latest turnaround on meters and call you in the course of the day with feedback. As to actual move in date, I will not be able to give an exact time.
Kind regards
