🚨 Poor Workmanship & Zero Accountability – Beware of Cosmopolitan Projects!
I am extremely disappointed with Cosmopolitan Housing and their lack of responsibility for serious construction defects. I recently discovered that the sewage pipe was never connected—a hidden issue that only became clear when my drainage got blocked.
I reached out to Cosmopolitan for assistance, they refused to help because the warranty had expired. This is NOT a normal wear-and-tear issue; it is a construction defect! The pipe was never connected in the first place, meaning the problem existed from day one.
This is clear negligence on Cosmopolitan’s part. A properly built home should not have such major plumbing failures. Their unwillingness to assist shows a complete disregard for homeowners who trusted them with their hard-earned money.
🔴 If you’re considering buying a home from Cosmopolitan, think twice! Poor construction, hidden defects, and zero accountability are what you’ll be dealing with.

All connections are inspected by the local council and certified by the local council.
The Occupancy Certificate issued by the council inspector verifies the property is ready to be inhabited. All connections and standards have been met. This includes electrical, water, and sewerage line connections.
Any workmanship issues regarding plumbing connection would appear in the first 3 months, and sewerage blockage/backup would appear very soon after move-in, usually in the first 3 months.
You have lived on the property since April 2022 (3 years by April 2025) and have had no such complaints till now.
We recommended that you appoint a qualified plumber since the warranty has long since expired.
Yet the video shows a TLB (large tractor with digging attachment) was used to dig up the property exposing several pipes and electrical cables.
We have no formal registered plumber’s report, only footage of a TLB operator showing a detached pipe.
With such intrusive excavation as per the video, it is reasonable to expect pipes and cables to have been disturbed or even ripped from their original fitting. Now various cables, several meters underground, have been disturbed/exposed to the elements.
We must follow standard practice for out-of-warranty items, Cosmopolitan cannot assist.
