Poor service
I app**** for a house and was approved by bank. signed registration documents with attorneys over 2 months ago. Today I called to find out what the status is as I was told that it will take 6 to 8 weeks. The attorneys are telling me that I need to get life insurance first. The banks approval does not require life insurance so I was not in a hurry to get one although I know that I will need one. Nothing was communicated with me and if I did not call I would have not known what is delaying the process. The attorneys told me that cosmopolitan recently changed their policies and now require one. They work with this insurance company and I think they want people to take life insurance with that company. I am not impressed with the service.

You have agreed to our requirement that we require life cover to be in place, with any insurer of your choice. Upon confirmation that life cover is in place, we will proceed to register in your name urgently.

30 Jul 2019, 15:30I am not happy still. I was excited to get a call after my first review as I received a call from cosmopolitan. I was told that an email will be sent to the attorneys and everything will be resolved in a week if I submit by the end of that week. I took life cover and sent confirmation then there was silence. I called last week and I was told that they are waiting for my life cover insured company to include the bond/stand number on the documents. There is no communication at all even when I have made them aware that I am not happy. Yesterday I called du plooy to find out what is happening now and a lady by the name of Stasha was not available and I left a message and my number. Guess what, she did not call. I just called now and she is not currently available and left a message again, for what? I dont know as she will never call. Has cosmopolitan followed up after I complained so that my issue will be resolved, nope. No one cares, even the call that I received after my complaint was for cosmopolitan to respond on hello peter. I am fed up. I am even thinking of canceling everything and getting my deposit back and I won't be liable for any costs incurred thusfar as they failed to give me a proper service.

01 Oct 2019, 22:50Thank you. Went to construction site to check last Friday and noticed that the house is done, not sure though what still needs to be done. It would be nice to get forecast completion date as well as inspection thereof so that I can also start making arrangements.

01 Nov 2019, 16:21Hi I cant get of Tshephang. Cosmopolitan has not paid the deposit it is supposed to the municipality of R1400. I have been trying to follow up. Sent an email to hello... and was expecting response after a few hours and till today no response. Tried following up with Clever the agent I dealt with getting the house and everytime he promises to get back to me and doesn't. I dont think he is winning. Not sure now who will be liable for interest since cosmopolitan is not making payment. I have checked with the municipality today and cosmopolitan has not made payment yet. It's been 2 weeks since I moved in and I am still experiencing problems with Cosmo. Not happy at all

The R1400 is the water meter deposit paid to council prior to them releasing the meter to us.
We are aware they are very behind in allocating credits to the various stands.
We would not have water connectivety without presenting proof of payment to the supplier.
I will obtain proof tomorrow from our Head Office and mail to you.

Now I am not sure who is making false statements between midvaal and cosmopolitan. My statement is still not reflecting payment made by cosmopolitan. Please note that I still have not received the proof of payment as promised above, now I am not even sure if payment has been made.
